Today, the topic of this disease has become very relevant, because during the COVID-19 pandemic, thousands of Ukrainians are diagnosed with pneumonia every day. And it is pneumonia that is a dangerous complication that puts them in intensive care beds.
So today we have a very official reason to remind not only about the seriousness of this disease, but also about the danger of possible consequences. So what is pneumonia? Pneumonia is an acute infectious pneumonia that can occur in patients of different ages and is a set of pathological processes that develop in the lung tissue. Symptoms of pneumonia are:
• cough;
• difficulty breathing and shortness of breath;
• chest pain;
• tachycardia;
• general weakness;
• sweating;
• muscle pain;
• fever.
Remember, pneumonia is a very dangerous disease! If not treated in time, the effects of pneumonia can lead to serious complications and even death. Therefore, if this diagnosis has already been made, it is necessary to undergo a course of treatment prescribed by a doctor. And please – do not treat pneumonia yourself! This is too risky a decision!
We will talk about another important thing – rehabilitation after the disease, which in turn can leave behind a lot of unpleasant surprises in the form of regression of residual foci of inflammation, congestion in the lungs and so on. So our goal:
• regression of residual foci of inflammation, congestion in the lungs,
• improvement of blood and lymphatic circulation, trophism, reduction of hypertension of the small circle of blood circulation;
• improvement of bronchial patency, bronchial drainage function;
• defibrosing effect, prevention of fibrosis;
• improving lung ventilation parameters;
• strengthening of general nonspecific resistance.
Physicians and doctors of the hotel and resort complex of the Carpathians have developed a comprehensive rehabilitation program after COVID-19 which includes:
Treatment procedures:
• Physiotherapy with SYS device (super invective system – a unique method that has no analogues in the western region), as well as diathermy, electrophoresis, magnetic therapy;
• Inhalations;
• Speleotherapy;
• Dry carbonic baths;
• Mineral baths;
• Inhalation oxygen therapy;
• Therapeutic physical training, breathing exercises;
• Therapeutic chest massage;
• Phytotherapy;
• Enteral oxygen therapy.
Most importantly – do not self-medicate, be sure to seek medical help!
And always remember that timely rehabilitation allows you to minimize the unpleasant consequences of the disease!
Sincerely, Halyna Sasyk, Therapist of the Medical and Diagnostic Center of the Carpathian GCC
