Mykhailo Petrov: mandatory examinations that are important to do every year

If you are over 40 and you are a person who does not have health problems – that’s great! However, you and everyone else in adulthood, even in perfect health, need to be screened at least once a year.

Let’s talk about this in more detail.

It is clear that regular tests and examinations help to identify diseases, inflammatory processes and other problems of the body in the early stages and start treatment in time.

Let’s start with the simplest – a blood test. This analysis is mandatory for preventive examinations of people of all ages. It helps to assess the general condition of the body and show the presence of certain diseases.

A general urinalysis should be performed later. It allows you to assess the general condition of the kidneys and urinary system.

It is important to understand blood glucose levels. This test is mandatory for overweight people and people with a predisposition to diabetes.

And let’s not forget about the basic examinations that everyone needs to undergo once a year, regardless of gender, and we are talking about:

  • Ultrasound of the abdominal cavity and pelvis;
  • chest X-ray or fluorography;
  • tests for hepatitis C, B and HIV, if the person is at risk;
  • dental examination (preferably twice a year);
  • blood pressure measurement;
  • electrocardiography to study the heart;
  • determination of cholesterol levels.

Now let’s talk about mandatory examinations for women:

  • gynecologist examination;
  • mammologist examination;
  • screening for cervical cancer.

It is important for men every year:

  • be examined by a urologist;
  • take a blood test for PSA (prostate-specific antigen);
  • take a blood test for sex hormones.

The best solution is to undergo examination and diagnosis in combination with rehabilitation and rest. And of course the best place for this is a sanatorium with a powerful diagnostic base.

Today in our health resort, GKK Karpaty the most modern methods of diagnostics of treatment and rehabilitation are used, and thanks to modernization which was carried out in recent years, modern medical equipment and technologies are used.
